I'm cold today and that's a lovely feeling. It must be that crazy-alaskan in me =) But oh how I've missed the simplicity and comfort of my sweats *sigh* I'm not sure if that too is the crazy-alaskan in me, or just that I grew up playing sports! Either way, I think it's lovely to spend my last day of summer in sweats with a nice cup of tea and the undying lyrical magic of Hana Pestle, Erin McCarley, and Joshua Radin. I love Portland for a number of reasons and one is that people who sing and write beautiful music perform here.

Hana just turned 19, her voice is absolutely amazing. She only has a few songs out right now, but my favorite has to be her rendition of Hallelujah.

Erin just lights up when she gets on stage. Her and K.S. (he's the pianist who has his own album- Dead Language) were so in tune with each other is was hard to watch. They didn't just play the music, they were apart of it. *chills* Her first album comes out in September and Pitterpat has to be my favorite.

And then Mr. Joshua Radin. Oh my soul, I thought Whitney was going to have a heart attack. He wrote songs about the girl he loved. Then she broke his heart. And now he sings about her every night, ouch. He had to buy himself out of his record deal because he didn't have enough pop songs on his upcoming album. He's real, he sings about life and love and heartache. muy bueno.
